The galvanized metal strap on configuration has a sensor potted to the back side of a copper plate and a foam pad creates compression when the strap worm drive is tightened. The final result is a good thermal transfer with pipes that range from 2 to 5" in diameter. ACI Strap on temperature sensors are designed for HVAC or Building Automation Systems.
